SIGMM Student Travel Grants
SIGMM has centralized support for the standard student travel for in-person participation. Any SIGMM student member (https://services.acm.org/public/qj/gensigqj/login_gensigqj.cfm?promo=QJSIG&offering=044&form_type=SIG) is eligible to apply, however, the students who are presenters at the conference are particularly encouraged to apply. The grants can cover any travel expenses such as airfare/shuttle, hotel and meals (but not the registration).
In addition to being a SIGMM member (which costs only $15 for a student at www.sigmm.org), the applicant must be enrolled in a university at the time of the application submission.
Application Procedure:
The application must be submitted online: https://acmsigmm.wufoo.com/forms/zs7ntks1qifyyk/ till December 15, 2023. Applications will be reviewed right after the deadline, and the applicants will be notified in due time.
Reimbursement Procedure
The grant winners enjoy the conference in-person, and immediately after the conference they will get a link to upload their receipts. Students travelling within the same continent can be reimbursed up to USD 1,000, while students travelling intercontinental can get up to USD 2,000. When the receipts are confirmed by ACM, the reimbursement will be deposited to the designated bank account.
